STROLLER POWER of JUPITER, LLC

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is Stroller Power?
Stroller Power is a one-hour stroller based fitness program incorporating a cardio and strength training workout in an interval fitness setting.

2. What do I need?
Please bring stroller, bottle of water, snacks and toys for your children, and an exercise mat for abdominal exercises and stretching. You will also need to bring your bag of Stroller Power resistance bands.

3. What can I expect during the workout?
Each Stroller Power class consists of a brief warm-up followed by 6 cardio and strength training intervals and 15 minutes of abdominal and core strengthening exercises.  We finish each class with stretching to improve flexibility.

4.  How old should my baby be?
It is recommended that your baby be at least six weeks old before starting the Stroller Power program.  Moms should have their post-pregnancy check-up completed as well.

5.  Do I need a special type of stroller?
Since all Stroller Power classes are indoors, any type of stroller will work.  Just make sure it is comfortable for you to push using good posture.

6.  Will I be lifting my baby as resistance during the workout?
Each Stroller Power class incorporates strength training exercises using resistance tubes, weights and weighted balls.

7.  I have not exercised in a long time, will Stroller Power be too hard for me?
Stroller Power classes are designed for all fitness levels and ages.  The instructor shows modifications for the exercises so that everyone can feel success with the Stroller Power program.

8.  What if my baby fusses?
Each Stroller Power class stops frequently to complete the toning exercises.  During this time, you can tend to your baby and then catch up when you're ready.

9.  Will my toddler be able to make it through these classes?
Most children do very well with the classes.  When we are finished with the cardio portion of the class, the children come out of the strollers and are able to interact with their Moms and the other children.  If your child is not used to being in a stroller, be sure to bring toys and snacks of interest for him.

10.  What if I have two young children?
You can bring them both.  We have many Stroller Power Moms who come with double strollers.

11.  How often should I exercise?
It is recommended to get 30 minutes of moderate exercise each day and complete strength training exercises 2-3 days per week.

12.  I am pregnant.  Is this class safe for me?
During your first trimester, you can do the same exercises as the rest of the Stroller Power Moms.  After the first trimester, your abdominal exercises and traveling exercises will be modified.  Six weeks after your baby is born, and when cleared by your doctor, you may resume the Stroller Power program.

13.  How do I register for a class?
It is not necessary to pre-register for any of our classes.  Plan on arriving 10 minutes early for your first class to complete the necessary paperwork.  You can pay for one class or purchase a group of classes at most locations.  Please check our HOME page for our class prices at each location.
